Just Add Ink - #42

Since I am finally under some sort of control with house chores, and classes etc, I decided to give this week's Just Add Ink Challenge a go. I just got a cute new set that is coming out in the new Mini Catalogue (to be released 1st December) and thought I would use it for this challenge, and give you a sneak peak.

This week's challenge was a sketch challenge, and it made it so easy to put my card together.

I love these flowers, they are so easy using the scallop circle punch, I have used the Elegant Soiree DSP (love that paper) for the flower and added a Vintage Brad. The base card uses Early Espresso (although it looks darker in the photo than it is IRL), and I added some Early Espresso Satin Ribbon.

On the inside I added my Happy Birthday and a little birdie in the corner.

Just Add Ink - Challenge #8

I made another Easter Bag and card with the left over Chick-A-Dees that I had made and thought I would enter it into the Just Add Ink Challenge, the theme this week is Easter - so perfect (and thanks to Liam for encouraging me to enter). As mentioned I got the inspiration for the Chicks from Andrea Walford (see here), but wanted to make something different with them and I just love this new Fancy Favor Die available from 1st April.

I'll be back soon with more sneak peeks.

Kellie's Sketch Challenge #3

Yay, I managed to do another challenge. This one is Kellie's Sketch Challenge #3, love these. I have used a digital stamp from Mo's Digital Pencil, she has so many cute stamps, but I am still working out how to colour digital stamps. I usually watercolour but my printer ink seems to be water soluble and just runs everywhere. What a conundrum - so I pulled out the Stampin Up chalks, the effect is a lot softer (and I did use vanilla cardstock, so it probably doesn't stand out as much as it would have on white cardstock - oh well).

PS: I had to remove my visitor counter as it seemed to go a bit haywire. Just a week ago I was getting very excited as I was getting close to 1,000 (I was even thinking of doing some blog candy), then the next day I checked, it was 19,000+ WHAT THE?

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #20

I wanted to put a card in for the Magnolia Down Under Challenge but with a Father's Day theme and no Edwin or boy Magnolia stamps, I wasn't too sure what to do. I received a couple of new Tilda stamps on Friday and managed to colour a couple on the weekend which was fun so thought I might try using one of them. This ended up being a very quick and simple card, so I added a matching sunny boy container (which will be filled with Ginger Chocolate - my Dad's favourite).

I used Bella Bleu DSP layered on Very Vanilla and Kraft Cardstock, with Very Vanilla Grosgrain ribbon. The stamp was from the Occasional Greetings set.

We have wild weather coming in Victoria today (believe NSW and SA also have had a rough time), so to all having bad weather, stay safe.

Delicious Diva Colour Challenge #1 and Kellie's Sketch Challenge #2

Okay when I first thought I would try to combine the Delicious Diva Colour Challenge #1 and Kellie's Sketch Challenge #2, I don't think I quite realised how difficult it may be - boy those colours were tough.

I had another idea for the card in my head but ended up using patchwork squares with the colours from the colour challenge instead.

Well must go and get some washing done, hope you have a great weekend.
