Recessed Window Box and Pun Fun Card Set

That is a long title!!! I made this Recessed Window box from the previous UStamp class (you can see the current UStamp class here), I am still catching up on all the projects they had. This project was designed by Jenny Moors (I love her projects).

I decided to make a set of 6 cards using the Pun Fun Stamp Set to go in the box. I coloured the images with blender pens and used the retired Parisian Breeze Specialty DSP. These guys are so cute.

I was so pleased with the way the set turned out. I will be doing this as a class in March.

Card Purse & Quick Cards

This card purse was a project from an 'old' UStamp class. It was designed by the wonderful Tracey Old from NZ.

Unfortunately this Specialty DSP (Parisian Breeze) is now retired. : (

I wanted a quick and simple design for the cards and went with DSP, Punches, and the Sincere Salutations Stamp Set (all from Stampin' Up!).

I will be doing this as a class in February.

It was beautiful day for Australia Day yesterday, so hope all the Aussies got to have a great day/BBQ.

Valentine Challenge - MDUC

Magnolia Down Under is having a Valentine Challenge, so I thought I would give it a try.

The flowers are new ones that I have been crocheting (is that a word?), it's a larger and more lacy version of these. I used the Clear Rhinestone Brads from Stampin' Up! for the middle of them.

You can't actually see in the inside (I didn't set it up very well) but it has a sentiment from the new Whimsical Words stamp set available only during Sale-A-Bration.

Aligator Bags - UStamp

This was a wonderful project created by the talented Becky Roberts for UStamp With Love 2010 (click here for details).

I had seen the aligator effect (or crocodile effect if you are in Australia) on some blogs and always wanted to give it a try.

The Carousel Notes from Stampin' Up! were the perfect shape for the bag (after I cut a little off the bottom). I also used the Flower Fusion Too felt flowers to decorate the bag and the Best Yet Stamp Set (Hostess Set) for the sentiment.

This is another version of the bag that I made, using some top note dies that I had cut out. I also used the Petal Pizazz Stamp Set, but I decided to go for a bright version this time.

A 'Puffy' Box

I liked the look of this 'Puffy' Box (tutorial available here on Splitcoast Stampers), although it did look a little complicated. I decided to try to create a template for myself on the computer (well I thought the tutorial was complicated, try drawing it on the computer!!!!). Well after a little trial and error managed to come with something.

I just got the Petal Pizazz Stamp Set so was dying to try it out. It looks great cut out - you just need to have a bit of patience to do all the cutting. I added some of the Rose Red Double Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (get in quick, it is one of the items on sale during the Stampin' Up! Inventory Clearance Sale ends 24th January).

I also made a 3 x 3 card to go with it.

I think it turned out a cute little set.

Colour Combo Inspiration

I have to credit the wonderfully talented Debbie Pamment for this colour combo - Tempting Turquoise, Kraft, Baja Breeze and Whisper White. You can check out her beautiful creation in this colour scheme here.

I was also inspired by a little box by Angie Kennedy Juda, she creates fantastic video tutorials (see her creation and tutorial here).

This was such a quick and simple project to make and can be used for any kind of occasion (the perfect package for jewellery or chocolates).

Sweet Treat Flowers

I have to give credit to these Sweet Treat Flowers to the talented Liam Pucher (check out her blog here). These are so simple to make, especially when you use the Blooms Die Cuts.

Some of the larger size die cuts are the perfect size to fit the sweet treat cup. These flowers have no trap door, so unfortunately to get the treats out will mean tearing them open - but that just means that the lollies are more likely to stay in them so I can use them as displays.

I added some flowers (from Short & Sweet Stamp Set) in white Staz On on one of the flowers and I used the offcut of the circle from the 1 3/4" punch and the Whimsical Words stamp set to cover up the stick.

An M&M Sweet Treat Cup

Here is another creation using the Sweet Treat Cups by Stampin' Up!. I used to have a Gumball Machine when I was young, but I think I would have preferred if it had M&M's!!! This is a tri-fold card (well I think that's what they call them - it does have 3 panels!!!).

I again used the trapdoor method so that you can get the M&M's out with damaging the card, see previous post for details (this will be dangerous, hopefully they will stay in there until after an upcoming workshop).

I added some detail on the inside panel, so that when the M&M's are removed you get to see the image through sweet treat cup).

Sweet Treat Cups

As soon as Stampin' Up released the Sweet Treat Cups in Australia (in the current Summer Mini Catalogue) I was so excited and stocked up, but the problem was I have had a mental block as to how to use them ever since. Well no more, I was finally feeling well enough to have a weekend of creating, and these were top of my list to use.

I used a 3 x 3 card and Becky Roberts tutorial (see here) for a sliding trap door - that way you don't have to rip it open to get the treats. I added a heart to the front (from the Short & Sweet Stamp Set) stamped in white Staz On.

On the inside I used a stamp from the Whimsical Words stamp set (its a free set available during Sale-A-Bration when you spend $100).

On another note I used the suggestion of my talented friend Debbie, to add some water to my triangle box, I think it looks a lot better (it definately needed something extra).

I'm Back

Well sort of.

Unfortunately I fell ill the weekend after New Years and have been sick for almost 10 days. I hate getting colds in summer, especially when they turn into infections. I'm not quite there yet, but finally the antibiotics are starting to kick in.

I finally got back into my craft room today, the mojo is not quite back yet - I think it went away when the cold came. I had seen these triangle boxes at Regionals and on many blogs and wanted to try them out. I also wanted to try out the new Stamp Set - Whimsical Words, which is available as part of Sale-A-Bration (which starts on 25th January).

I had trouble as to what to put on the front, and I especially think the kraft one is missing something (told you my mojo is missing).
