White Daisies

For this card I used my previous post as inspiration (see here), and used the same flower and polka dot background stamps, but this time in White craft ink on Chocolate Chip.

I used Kraft as the base card with Whisper White and Chocolate Chip. Please excuse my uneven stamping of the flowers (with White craft ink you need to make sure you have an even coverage on the stamp before stamping!).

I added some dots on the flowers using the large punch on the Crop-A-Dile in Kiwi Kiss cardstock and some Kiwi Kiss ribbon. The sentiment from on the front is from Wow Flowers set.

On the inside I reversed the panels from the front and added the sentiment in Kiwi Kiss (and of course a flower in the corner).

I'm glad Monday is over - now I can't wait till the weekend!!!!

Birthday Card for a Boy

One of my best friends kids had birthdays so I needed a birthday card for a 6 year old boy. You know that stage where they are not really into cute anymore. The Lots of Bots stamp set is perfect for this age group.

I used the simple 'spotlight' technique (I think that is what it is called), by stamping 3 robots in black, then colouring another one with markers and a blender pen, punching out using a circle punch and adding it to the card with dimensionals.

On the inside a added a Tempting Turquoise border to some Whisper White cardstock and stamped the image again with the cute sentiment "Happy Birthday Human".

I also did a pillow box which will house a freddo frog (kids and chocolate).

'Wallpaper' card

I love the stamp from the Friends 24/7 set that is perfect for backgrounds (and I always think it looks a bit like very elegant wallpaper). I wanted to create a wallpaper effect and I had just received my Craft White stamp pad (where have I been!) so 1 + 1 equals - a card!

I used Close to Cocoa (retiring - how sad), Kraft and Whisper White. It was so simple.

A birthday card

Like I said I think I found some mojo last week and on the weekend we had a team get together - it was so much fun, and we did some awesome shoebox swaps (I really am in a talented team).

This is a card that I had in the back of my mind for a while and I was pleased at how it came together.

I am really liking the sponged look at the moment and confetti white is my new favorite cardstock. I have teamed it with Riding Hood Red and Chocolate Chip.

I have used the Polka Dot background stamp (another favorite), the heart is from I (heart) Hearts, the flower from Petal Pizzazz and the sentiment from Upsy Daisy - wow didn't realise how many stamp sets I had used, oh well sharing the love!!!

I'll be back with more soon.

Vintage Vogue in Blue

I have to admit Blue (Not Quite Navy in fact) is not colour that jumps out at me to team with the Vintage Vogue stamp set, but for some reason I went with it.

I used the Very Vintage jumbo wheel for stamp the background in Not Quite Navy on Baja Breeze base card. I added some of the flowers stamped and individually cut out on the front and inside of the card (so wish they had a punch for these).

Will be back with more. I caught up for coffee (and chocolates) with the talented Debbie on the weekend and maybe some of her mojo has rubbed off.

Another All of a Flutter

This is another card that uses the design from Aly Adcock (see previous post). This time I added it to a standard size card.

I used Always Artichoke for the base card (don't think I have used this colour very much). I also used the Organic Grace Hostess stamp set to add some ferns to the base card.

On the inside of the card I added some script from the background stamp in the corners, the butterfly and sponged around the edges. It is matted on Very Vanilla.

All a Flutter

These cards were CASE'd from the talented Aly Adcock (she doesn't have a blog - yet, thanks for letting me post Aly). She had created a stunning framed picture with her design. I used it to create a set of four cards in different colours.

This set uses the En Francais Background Stamp in Sahara Sand and the All of a Flutter single stamp in black StazOn. I masked the butterfly and watercoloured them, I also added crystal effects to them (but you can't really see it in the photos).

I used Confetti White cardstock (have only just discovered this - where have I been). I found it handles the watercolouring much better than Whisper White.

I also did the inside with some script from the background stamp in the corners, sponging and the butterfly in Sahara Sand.

Pendant Notes Gift Set

Here is another set that was inspired by a demonstration at convention by the wonderful Bonnie. This was using the Pendant Notes card to make a little bag. The cards measure 5.5" x 3.25" and scored at 2.75". This is a new colour combination I have discovered - Kraft, Whisper White and Certainly Celery.

I wanted some quick and simple cards to go in the box and some matching DSP and ribbon was just the thing.

The idea for the label on the cards was from the talented Marelle Taylor (see her post here). So simple using the Scallop Oval Punch and the Word Window Punch.

I decided that the ribbon I used on the cards would be too thick for the handles, and Linen Thread didn't add any colour. I found some white twine my friend had used on my birthday present and coloured it with my Certainly Celery marker and voila.

This was such a quick and simple set.

CASEing the Boss

I don't think the boss (Shelli, the CEO and founder of Stampin' Up!) will mind too much that I have CASE'd one of her projects she demonstrated at convention.

Shelli demonstrated the vintage look (which I love) at convention and I fell in love with a journal she created. Well I decided to use the same look for a birthday card.

The base card is in Kraft Cardstock with Very Vanilla and Bashful Blue. I used the En Francais background stamp and sponged some Soft Suede ink over it. I added a Bashful Blue button and some linen thread on a scallop circle that I had stamped, sprayed with water, scrunched, sponged and stuck on the front with mini glue dots.

On the inside I added some Very Vanilla and Bashful Blue and stamped some of the En Francais background stamp in the bottom corners.

I hope to get some time to create this weekend so will be back with more soon.
