Since I am finally under some sort of control with house chores, and classes etc, I decided to give this week's Just Add Ink Challenge a go. I just got a cute new set that is coming out in the new Mini Catalogue (to be released 1st December) and thought I would use it for this challenge, and give you a sneak peak.
This week's challenge was a sketch challenge, and it made it so easy to put my card together.
I love these flowers, they are so easy using the scallop circle punch, I have used the Elegant Soiree DSP (love that paper) for the flower and added a Vintage Brad. The base card uses Early Espresso (although it looks darker in the photo than it is IRL), and I added some Early Espresso Satin Ribbon.
On the inside I added my Happy Birthday and a little birdie in the corner.
Totally adorable, Alison! I was hoping to receive my Aviary set on Friday, but, alas, it didn't arrive :( Your colours, paper and flower are all beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Alison! I love your flower made with the DSP too
ReplyDeleteSo Cute! The colours are fab, and the flower looks great with the antique brad as the centre. This is a gorgeous set and you are a tease to show us something we can't play with yet!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute, I love that set too
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work Alison. Just adorable with that ds paper.

Beautiful card, Alison. You are so good at making those flowers...mine always look like a crumpled mess but yours somehow always look perfect!
ReplyDeleteI really love how you have made the flower and I love the combo of blue and brown!
ReplyDeleteNeato - love this set, and the clean cut colour combo you've used. Thanks for playing at Just Add Ink!
