Regional WOW

As I mentioned I attended the Regional Stampin' Up! event last weekend and I have to say the WOW demonstrations were all fantastic. There were a number of projects that I just had to go home and make and this flower was one of them. It was created by the very talented Miriam Spiess (check out her blog here). She is hoping to put a tutorial on her blog soon so keep an eye on it.

Here is a close up of the flower.

I made the flower using Elegant Eggplant cardstock which was sponged with Night of Navy. The box is made using 5 of the Petite Pockets, and I used the base as a template for the top.

The paper is from my favorite DSP - Morning Mocha and the brad is from the Antique Brads.

I got on a roll making these flowers in all different sizes and colours and now have made quite a few which are sitting on my desk waiting to be used on something - this weekend!

  1. WOW barely expresses the response I had to this project! Even after I enlarged the photo, it's hard to believe that the flower is made from paper. You've used one of my favorite DSPs, and I add a container of those amazing brads to every order I place -- I guess I'm hoping to have a lifetime supply of them, lol!

I've got serious hopes that either you or Miriam does a tutorial for this, because it's a really special project -- thanks so much for sharing it with us!
