I don't think the boss (Shelli, the CEO and founder of Stampin' Up!) will mind too much that I have CASE'd one of her projects she demonstrated at convention.
Shelli demonstrated the vintage look (which I love) at convention and I fell in love with a journal she created. Well I decided to use the same look for a birthday card.
The base card is in Kraft Cardstock with Very Vanilla and Bashful Blue. I used the En Francais background stamp and sponged some Soft Suede ink over it. I added a Bashful Blue button and some linen thread on a scallop circle that I had stamped, sprayed with water, scrunched, sponged and stuck on the front with mini glue dots.
On the inside I added some Very Vanilla and Bashful Blue and stamped some of the En Francais background stamp in the bottom corners.
I hope to get some time to create this weekend so will be back with more soon.
You have down a lovely job of this CASE Alison. I think Shelli would be thrilled.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous idea, Phil made me one of these journals, but it is way too pretty to use! lol!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card, Alison...you have recreated the vintage look so well with those colours and the gorgeous flower. Love it!

ReplyDeleteGorgeous job Alison - this may be Shelli's design but it could easily be one of yours - just your style - sophisticated and elegant

Beautiful card, Alison. You did a lovely job of picking up the gorgeous vintage elements of Shelli's journal. Those colours look just divine together, don't they?
ReplyDeleteI love this card so simple but gorgeous at the same time.
